The only way to know if to see the sendmail log.

JFFNMS should only trigger once for any alarm, but it could happen that consolidate run again after the "alarmed" flag was marked because the email sending was slow/timeout because the server was down.

So those requests could have stacked up and when the server came back up, they were sent.

You will get the truth out of your MTA log to see how many emails were really delivered by the jffnms server.

OK, so Exchange took a dive and we got about 100 emails for 1 event it
going down and about 100 emails for 1 event it come back up.  Anyone
seen this?

I have a policy setup to look for Reachability and email on that, now
JFFNMS points to our Exchange POS because of that is where we have the
email groups.  So I think is when it took a crap JFFNMS tried to keep
sending to it. Any quick ideas?
