Hi

I use jffnms to graph a number of our remote sites as well as some internal
stuff. Last week we lost our primary internet feed (over which JFFNMS
graphs our remote sites) and with that loss of internet things got crazy for
the day trying to work around the outage. The next day I go to check on
JFFNMS and found that it stopped graphing at about the same time we lost our
internet feed. Our JFFNMS system is on two boxes, front end JFF, back end
MYSQL DB. If I manually run poller2.php from the command line (as the
jffnms user) it works fine, although it seems to hang for a good 10-30
seconds before actually showing any of the poller2 output. If I try to use
the mysql client from the JFF frontend to the DB server, again, it seems to
hang for a good 10-30 seconds before connecting. I am able to ping the DB
and JFF from and to each other with no problems. But if I just let cron do
its thing on the JFF box, no rrd files get updated. I remember there was a
msg a while back about some mysql system variable causing some people
problems...could this be part of it? Thanks

Jason
