Generally it means the descriptions of the interface are wrong, this actually sadly happens a lot on Cisco equipment :(
If you snmpwalk .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2 you should see all the interface descriptions and probably see duplicates. The fix is quite difficult.
