Hello,
I'm tracking down a problem a user is having where the poller parent
is hanging. I've tracked it down to the fgets() function is blocking
waiting for data despite the select call saying there is data AND the
stream being set for non-blocking.

I'm trying to work out if it is a problem with his specific setup or
(more likely) version of PHP or if this is a particular problem with
PHP.

You'll notice it if you have a command line window open, cd to
C:\JFFNMS\ENGINE and then run a command like
PHP.EXE poller.php -o

if it exits, you're fine. if it doesn't you got the same problem :(
Both results are useful. If you can tell me
a) what version of windows
b) what version of php
c) what version of jffnms (needs to be 0.9.x)
d) does it work or hang

That would help a lot. The 0.8.x ones use fork not proc_open which is
not a better way but unfortunately might be the only way if this is
common.

If it hangs, the last few lines would be handy too.

Linux/BSD/etc users won't see this at all, they've got proper process
control which works correctly.
