Hi, i'm using ubuntu 9.10 64-bit (combined with mint, debian unstable, trisquel repositories), with jfs_mkfs version 1.1.12, 24-Aug-2007
the problem is my primary harddrive was having some bad sector, here's the badblocks output: ===== PASTE BEGIN === sda6 Checking blocks 0 to 134215010 Checking for bad blocks (read-only test): 11010048done, 2:47 elapsed 11077756done, 3:43 elapsed 11077757done, 4:02 elapsed 11077758done, 4:20 elapsed 11077759done, 4:39 elapsed 11077760 11077761 11077762 11077763 done Pass completed, 9 bad blocks found. ===== PASTE END ===== how can i repair the partition without reformating that partition and recreate the partition using "-c" flag.. why does fsck.jfs did not give "-c" option like fsck.ext3 did? ^^ -c Check for bad blocks and add them to the badblock list more information about my poor syslog T_T: http://pastebin.com/b05qHNJF many thanks~ ^^, any suggestion? -- Regards, Kiswono P GB ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Download Intel® Parallel Studio Eval Try the new software tools for yourself.
