There's been some discussion lately on the FreeBSD lists about porting JFS to FreeBSD. I'm copying Hiten Pandya, who I believe is not (yet) on the list, and who intends to coordinate the work. As a member of the FreeBSD core team, I will offer what help I can, but it'll be more encouragement than active work. Is anybody else interested in joining in? This would be an interesting practical test of the alternative approaches to failure recovery (journalling vs. soft updates).
