hi all,

First of all, please forgive if, you get the annoying
^M characters at the end of the lines, because I
wasn't
able to switch to my UNIX system lately... :-) but I
thought that this message was important to send.

As it is my duty ;) to report about what is happening
with the jfs4bsd project. The latest news are:

 - The CVS -repo is up
 - The mailing-list's are up.

There are two mailing-lists which have been setup. The
following:

jfs4bsd-announce
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Description: All major release information are echoed
on this list, as well bug fixes.

jfs4bsd-devel
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Description: All development, porting and similar
stuff is discussed on this list.

The mailing-lists are managed by the GNU MailMan
system, so unfortunately, you will have to use the
form on the project website to subscribe to the lists.

The interfaces are located at:

jfs4bsd-announce:
http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jfs4bsd-announce

jfs4bsd-devel:
http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/jfs4bsd-devel

CVS Repository
===========================================

The CVS repository for the project has also been
setup.

The 'anoncvs' :pserver method is provided for
downloading the cvs code. Detailed information about
downloading the code can be found at the JFS4BSD CVS
page, located at:

http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=42115

A module called j4b is provided for downloading the
whole jfs4bsd ported code, as well the original linux
jfs code base used. The following directories exist
under the 'j4b' module:

1) jfs (port tree)
2) linux25 (Linux, kernel 2.5 codebase)

The best way to know what is online, is to visit the
project SF site at:

http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/jfs4bsd

I encourage developers interested in the jfs4bsd port
to the jfs4bsd-devel list. It would be very greatly
appreciated.

If you need any more information on logging in, or
anything regarding the jfs4bsd site, or services,
please do not hesitate to contact me.

thanks,
regards,

 - Hiten
