I have a few questions related to extendfs and resizing the filesystem in general..
The changelog for 1.0.15 says that testing the functionality is till on the todo list, does this mean the functionality exists but is not tested, or that the functionality does not yet exist? extendfs.c seems to indicate to me that the functionality does not yet exist, but I've only taken a brief look at the code. Also, I understand there is an ioctl() that gets sent to the device that will do the extension, is this ioctl already part of the existing jfs kernel module meaning that a tested version of extendfs is all we'll need to resize filesystems moving forward, or is it also something that needs to be added? Lastly, how dependent is the extendfs functionality on the underlying volume management? Would resizing a filesystem on top of LVM work as well as resizing one on top of Veritas Volume Manager, which has recently become available for Linux?
