If you have extra disk space you can follow the steps in the JFS Root Boot HOWTO
and during this process you are copying over your data and you have a backup of
your data on ReiserFS / if you want to keep that around.

The down-side of doing this manually there are steps you can miss and your
system might not boot the first time.

BTW, it would be a good idea to backup your data before you put a different
file system in your environment.
