Ann,
As I told you off-list to save clutter, this function works fine for
me with JAWS 17. But giving it some more thought, I remember that
a week or two ago, I posted on the list a discovery I made. In
order to bring up a list of different possibilities, I have to do
the following in this exact sequence. Keep in mind that I have forms
mode set to manual:
JAWS key+spacebar, j
Press enter on the edit field.
Type a search term.
Now this is crucial: Press the PC cursor key.
Also crucial: Tab, and keep tabbing until you find what you want.
Once you find what you're looking for, arrow down for the details.
I don't know how this would work in automatic or semi-automatic
forms mode, but it seems critical to get out of forms mode before
checking for answers.

same here. sometimes you have to go after it rather circuitously,
and sometimes it actually works. I find the index tab in JAWS Help
behaves in much the same way. I guess I don't think like the programmers.
