I'm using JAWS 14 and having the same problem with a Windows 7 machine. If I use the quick settings option to define columns, everything works perfectly fine those titles won't stick on there and read out though if I were to email a JAWS user that spreadsheet. This is with MS-Office 2010 student

Subject: Further to the Excel Title Reading Bug

Hi All,

I just had something interesting happen as I attempted to create a
small spreadsheet to send to FS.

When I created a small spreadsheet in Excel 2013 and followed the
steps as outlined in the Jaws 15 help documentation for defining
names, everything worked perfectly. When I repeated the same steps in
Excel 2010, neither the row or column headings are read as I arrow
around the worksheet.

I suppose this explains why FS says things are working just fine and
why those of us using Excel 2010 are having a different experience.

I hope this is helpful, or at least enlightening to some of you.

Kimber
