This might have been a consideration in the past, but the reality is that Windows is the only major OS left *without* a screen reader, especially in the far more important (these days) portable device market. So any attempt to try to paint MS as eliminating businesses is going to run directly up against that detail. Embedded code is where the other screen readers are going to thrive, but think of it from the viewpoint of the single largest consumers of screen readers -- rehab agencies. The closer Narrator gets the more the money folks are going to say, "It has a screen reader already, so why buy one?" And scripting will help a lot in getting Narrator up into competitiveness.
