Hi, folks.

Not long ago, I upgraded my Windows 7-enabled laptop to run the 64-bit
edition of JFW 15.0.9023. Since then, immediately after I've booted
onto one of my user profiles, I receive the following annoying error
message:

"PAC Mate Desktop failed to initialize. Make sure that Microsoft Active Sync
is installed and functioning properly."

This is especially baffling because (a) I have PAC Mate Desktop turned
off in my Basic settings; (b) this occurs on only my home user profile
but not the one I use for work; and (c) since I am a Windows 7 user, I
have access to Sync Center but not the type of Microsoft Active Sync
that used to be installed in the XP operating system. Sync Center,
however, seems to be installed, because I can call up this program
through the Run dialog and it appears.

After I have hit OK to make the error message disappear, this apparent
error does not appear to affect adversely my PC's operation or JAWS'
effectiveness. But it's still annoying, and the error message did not
stop appearing after I did a repair of JAWS 15.0.9023 just this
evening.

Does anyone have an explanation or a fix for this?

Kind regards,

-Kane
