I'm not sure what happened, but I got my speakers back. i tried one more
restore for the first of May and when I logged back on it said that system
restore had failed again, but when I unmuted my speakers this time they
suddenly started working. I know, I know, I have to upgrade, and I'll do that
soon, but it's nice to be able to use my computer the way I want to again.
