If you're gonna mess with it , definitely back it up first. That way a repair
may require mere seconds, and you can proceed with a lot less tension--great
idea!

Guys,

Script writing can be a pretty daunting thing; especially for those like myself
who really haven't delve into the process. Being that default.jss is the main
jaws script file that everything is based around, if you break it, you could,
potentially render jfw useless until doing a repair. That said, I don't want
to frighten anyone away from trying what Dave suggested. It's a cool creative
idea, I'll definitely say that. This however said, I don't think it's called
for to suggest someone reread an e-mail message. They'd not be asking for more
help if it was that easy for them. We all on this list are adults, and we all
have different levels of skill. Some may be more adversed when it comes to
writing scripts/modifying scripts than others. And just because a person is
incredibly advanced in one area, doesn't mean they are in all areas. For
example. I'm an extremely!
incredibly! advanced computer user, and am incredibly exceptionally advanced
of a jaws user. Frankly, I probably most likely could take the jaws
certification and pass it with flying colors. I can't afford the certifiquet
right now, and that's honestly the only reason I've not taken the test.
Probably, here in the next month or two, I plan to do so. My point is, though
I'm advanced with JFW, don't think for even one second that I am any good at
scripting, as I'm not... point blank! I'd probably break things long before
I'd make them work. I know the concept of scripting, but yeah... Though
Dave's message was very clear, I'm not so sure that even I!
would feel the most comfortable modifying my default.jss file. I'd do it, but
only provided that I'd first made a backup of the file elseware, so that if I
FuBarred things, I'd not totally be up the creek without a paddle.

Ultimately, my over all point of this entire message is to say, cut some people
a little slack, wontcha? If someone genuinely is asking for help, provide it,
or don't. Don't beat around the bush by saying not trying to be a smart A...
what the heck good's that ggetcha? Yeah, that's kind a what I thought.
Nothing huh. OK then.

NO offense, but I had to speak up and say something. Past this point, I'm not
going to say anything further publicly. If you have an issue with my message,
take it up with me off list.
