Are you saying you made the change in the JAWS dictionary? If so, highlight the word, go back into the dictionary, and then in the replacement field type in an alternative. When you save, you'll be asked if you want to replace an existing entry.
When I want an acronym spelled out by JAWS rather than being said as a word, I write each letter separated by a space in the replacement field. Tip. one capital letter that JAWS doesn't say correctly is A. So, for capital A, I write eh, that is, e h. It has all the hallmarks of a delightful Canadian verbal tic, but does nicely for A in context. -----Original Message----- From: Jfw [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jeff M. via Jfw Sent: Sunday, June 01, 2014 9:45 PM To: [email protected] Subject: how to undo changes I made in JAWS Well, tonight I wanted to change how JAWS said a term all in capitals. Now, it tries to make it a word. Well, I made that change, I think but also made some changes I don't want. How can I undo this?
