Hello.

If you are using the virtual ribbon, you should go to the home tab, cells,
and press  space bar.  Once you do this, you can press down arrow until you
find the rename sheet option.

If you are not using the virtual ribbon.  The keystrokes to do this are
pasted below.

In Office 2007 and above, alt+h, then o, then r is rename sheet;

The keystrokes will not work if you are using the virtual ribbon.  You have
to be using the regular ribbon for the keystrokes to work.

It is not an earlier version I'm trying to do it with.  It's Office 2013,
and I just want to get to the manage worksheets menu so I can rename sheets
to something more meaningful than sheet1.

In earlier versions it's in the format menu, under sheet -- rename sheet is
the first entry. I know of no way to select multiple worksheets  without
sight, and I've talked with folks on the Excel team at Microsoft and they
had no answers for this either.
