Carlos,

You can change the filename by going to a list of files in, say, Windows 
Explorer. Once the filename is highlighted, press shift-F2. This transforms the 
filename into an edit field, and you can make any changes you want. 

That said, in most cases you wouldn't want to change the file extension, which 
can alter or undermine the file's function. So perhaps you're looking for yet 
another method. 

Kimber's method is the best one for changing a word processing file's extension 
without doing any damage.

I use to know how to do this but I forgot.

I use to be able to change a file to html, txt, and so on. I believe is had
something to do with f10. Please if you can helpk I would greatly appreciate
it.  I would be able to do this in office word7.
