I just did this. I wrent to my documents, focused on the new folder and
pressed F. I got the names of my files that begin with the letter F. I
also tried alt F and never got the command to rename. Then I thought I'd
get original and, focusing on the new folder, I pressed shift F10 and got
the same reaction I got with Alt F. Help! Judith

When in the folder list treview, and focus is on the folder you wish to
rename, press F 2, edit as desired, and press enter.
Cheers Kevin.

I want to thank all of you for your advice on getting emails out of junk and
making sure they don't end up there again. Now for another elementary
question. How do you name a folder? I tried control S and hit alt F but
save as wasn't in the list. Right now they're sitting in my documents as
folder 1 etc. Thanks for your help, Judith
