I'm not familiar with this problem, but one thought that comes to mind
is if the browser is in full screen mode, the menus won't read, because
they're pretty much not there. You might try pressing the F11 key and
see if that straightens things out. F11 toggles back and forth between
full screen and normal modes. Another thought is that there might be
some sort of dialog box covering over part of the window, but that seems
like a stretch if this is a consistent problem.
