Yes, I've found myself being caught in the menu, and not able to get out. I
thought it was something particular to me, but sounds like one more
"feature" of JAWS 16 that is not a benefit.

Subject: Overactive menu bar and Jaws

Hello list,

So for the past couple of weeks, I have been dealing with an overactive menu
bar in various applications. Be it Firefox, IE, Outlook, Windows Explorer,
etc. I started noticing it with the first official JFW 16 release and it has
continued with the most recent 16 update put out last week. This wasn't the
case for the first few weeks of using JFW 16 so I initially don't think it
to be a Jaws issue per say. Anyway, it'll most frequently happen if I am in
a combo box or some other field where I need to enable and then disable
forms mode or if I'm tabbing around the screen. The system menu bar will
invariably pop up and I have to escape like crazy to get out of it. Often
being placed in another application's window entirely.

A while back, I had to reset my Windows 7 desktop theme as it had gotten
switched I don't' know how. Anyway, I got it back to the Windows Classic
option. I don't know if this has anything to do with it as I don't' recall
if these two issues coincided, but off hand, I can't think of anything else
that has changed in my PC set up to warrant this behavior. Might there be
some obscure setting that may have been enabled/disabled or perhaps some
other desktop theme that will play nice with Jaws that I can try?

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Regards,
