I tried the link on the page Gary mentioned and it took me to the standard 
version, which is around 39MB, rather than the accessible plug-in which is over 
250MB. I contacted Amazon who said:

"The link to download Kindle for PC with Accessibility Plugin is currently 
incorrectly pointing to the standard version - this is due to an issue we are 
in the process of addressing. I apologize for the inconvenience, but you can 
directly download the latest version from: 
http://kindleforpc.amazon.com/accessibility/31489/KindleForPC-installer-40628.exe";

No.  I just went straight to the regular Amazon page and to the book I wanted 
to download.  Then I just downloaded the regular ap.  If there is a thing with 
a disability plug-in, then I will just remove what I downloaded this morning.
