I like the idea of a long-term platform, but always beware of updates. Talk
about FS breaking one thing in order to fix another, the same goes for the OS,
only worse!

Hi,
There will be no service packs as in the past. Continuous refinements will be
the norm from now on, which are good thing and a bad thing.
Virtual desktops (called Task View) are a way to group running apps together
into workspaces. In other words, you can open multiple desktops with apps for
different purposes opened in each desktop. By default, when you install Windows
10 and with multiple desktops opened, pressing Alt+TAB will cycle among apps on
the current desktop (go to Settings/System/Multitasking to change this
behavior). This isn't the same as having two or more user accounts (I for one
use two user accounts and switch between them for various purposes).
Cheers,
Joseph

Windows 10 won't be free after a year. I believe the 2020 date refers to the
end up MS support. But for now, as Brad says, who has the time? I'm waiting for
the first service pack (MS always comes out with one) and FS's first rounds of
fixes, all of which I expect will appear within the year.

What you gain is that, in 2020, when you finally decide to upgrade,
Windows10 won't be free anymore.
