After it was bought by AOL, which in turn has been bought by Verizon, support
for Winamp looks doubtful. Many people on the PC-Audio list for visually
impaired users of audio technology swear by VLC Media Player.

Subject: Need Recommendation for an Accessible and Powerful Media Player

Hi!

Windows Media Player seems just a bit clunky to me. Does anyone have a
recommendation for a powerful, accessible media player? Mostly, this would
be a player for audio files. Organizing a media library, creating
playlists, burning and ripping CDs and things like that are paramount.

Thanks,

Richard
