I also had an issue where the system went to sleep, or rather on standby, and Jaws was not automatically loaded when coming back from standby. Setting it to start automatically on log on for all users fixed that. If you are the only user, then having it set for all users shouldn't be a problem.

You will have go back into the Jaws basic settings, into the start up
settings and recheck it to start when windows starts  and uncheck the one
for start at the start up screen.
