True. But there are times when the download link can create problems. I wish I 
could give the link I encountered this morning as an example, but it's a 
password-protected, members-only website. that "save target as" option in the 
right mouse click menu has saved my bacon many times.

When you download with chrome--that is, press enter on the download 
link--Chrome doesn't indicate that a file is downloading.  Control-j 
will tell you that it is, though.
