Hi. Marsha here. I have not encountered problems using the program with
JFW version 3.2. I use Corel WordPerfect in my job as a medical
transcriptionist with a contractor. The only thing I have figured out to
do is to route the Jaws cursor to PC when doing templates. If you don't,
you will get the prompt, "Template prompts edit". By routing the Jaws to
PC, you will actually get the name of the box that the information goes.
For example, when I want to put in the report date, I will route my Jaws to
PC by hitting Insert Minus. Then I will get the prompt "report Date". I
will then put in the date and use my insert up arrow and will hear the date
spoken after the appropriate heading. I do the same thing with all other
information. When I have filled out all the information, my template box
says "OK". When I have entered at that prompt, I will then be in that part
of the document to put the name of the person to whom that report is going.
The prompt will say "dear". I space and then put Dr. Idiotstick: and then
go down two spaces and write the body of the report. This might not work
in all templates but in Corel WordPerfect 7.0, I found it to be a handy way
of working a template. I had to figure this out on my own as not even our
access technology specialist knew quite how to get around this problem.
Well, I've gone on enough for now. Are there still any medical
transcriptionists out there who use Stedman's Medical Speller or Quick Look
Electronic Drug Reference, if so, I still would like an answer to my
question, does it all work in JFW? Thank you in advance.
