Go to options under the tools menu by pressing alt T then O.
Control tab to get to the mail sending tab.
Tab twice to get to the second item that says "mail sending format
settings... button." The first mail sending format button is for html,
the second one, the one you want, is for plain text.
Press enter on that button.
Tab 3 times to get to "automatically wrap text at." This is an edit
box where you can type a value. Microsoft suggests 72.
Tab to the okay button and press enter. This puts you back in the
other dialog box so again tab to okay and press enter.
For future reference, you can find this information by going to the
index tab in the help menu and typing "word."
