Hi,
I just helped a friend with a similar computer and video card. You need the 16-bit
version of the driver for that video
card. Browse over to http://www.atitech.ca to download that driver. Install the
driver, return your display settings to 256
color, and restart the machine. Should solve this problem. Regards.
