I also use a cable modem and it has no effect on JFW. You can still use all of your
same internet software as with a
dialup connection. THe only difference is that instead of dialing in you use a small
login program to get into the network.
I use RoadRunner which is the cable modem service offered by Time warner and it just
has a small program that already
has my user name filled in and I just type in my password and hit tab once to go to
the login button. That's all there is to
it.
