Hi,
I had the same problem when I installed adobe type manager. I also had to
re-install jaws. What happens is the adobe gets put into the startup group.
All de-activating it does is remove it from startup. The Icon still remained
in the program group. This program installed itsself with my scaner.
Your wife will able to get to adobe software in its program group. i.e.
click on start, and then programs, and then whatever group the program is
in.
