Hi,
One way we have found to eliminate the on and off again problem of shutting
down windows was to have the users use the restart windows in MS DOS mode
with a DOS version of the screen reader running or to simply have the
machine send a few beeps. To do this you will have to edit your dosstart.bet
file in your Windows directory to either add your DOS screen reader or
whatever program you would want to send signals to the speaker. You might
want to try the following. We have found this method quite useful. Please
