Hello to all,
About two weeks ago, David Edick posted information to this list concerning
creating synthesizer settings for specific applications. This concept
thrilled me. I thought such a thing was impossible, and David had been told
that it couldn't be done.
I have created specific settings for my help files, Wordpad, and Notepad.
The main thing I have done is to slow down the speech in these apps, because
they are the ones I use to read instructions. I know there are some scripts
for changing synthesizer speed out there, but I want the program to open
with the changes already in place.
I can already tell you that I am quite please with the results. the slower
reading of topics in help files allows for more time for committing
instructions to memory and translating of mouse terminology.
In my next message, I will post detailed instructions for anyone who is
interested. Please forgive me if they are too simple for some of you. I
tried to make them useful for most computer users.
