It is completely unnecessary to use the JawsCursor in the cases outlined
below. I'm going to insert some comments below as well. My comments will
be prefaced with */ and suffixed with /*.

I posted a detailed message to this list some months back about how to
create rules in Outlook98 but I cannot seem to find it in the archive and
the search utility seems not to be working right now.

:Hello Kelly,
:
:I am posting this to the list, as I think there are several of us working
:with Outlook, and parts of this application need a bit of
:gymnastics to work
:with JFW. I think if we can get together, we can make the whole thing JFW
:friendly, or at least doable. My boss wants me up to speed with the
:scheduling stuff, and I think it's going to take some work.
:
:There are two ways to create a rule in Outlook98. You can do it from the
:Tools menu of outlook, or you can select a message for which you want to
:create a rule, i.e. a message from the JFW list, press enter and go to the
:Actions menu and use the create rule dialog. The trick to both methods is
:to have your graphics verbosity set to say all graphics and to make
:judicious use of your Jaws cursor.

*/ Neither of these two things is necessary /*

:
:During each step of the rules wizard you are presented with lists of
:options, such as "check messages on arrival". To select one of these
:options you must click it's icon. To do this activate the PC cursor, use
:the arrow keys to get to the option you want, route the Jaws cursor to the
:PC cursor, press left arrow until you hear graphic xxx and press the numpad
:slash to left mouse click it. If you do a say word you will notice the
:graphic has changed. I don't think labeling these graphics will help, as
:they are different every time I use the wizard on my systems.
:

*/ All this is unnecessary. Just move to the selection you want with the
PcCursor and press the space bar to select it. /*

:Here's the step by step to create a rule for the JFW list.
:
:First you must create a folder where you want your list messages to be sent
:after they arrive. Start from the Inbox, as the menu options are different
:when you are in other parts of the program, like replying to a message.
:Press control+shift+E and follow the prompts.
:
:Once you have created your folder, select a message from the JFW list and
:press enter to open it in in a message window. Press alt+N for the actions
:menu and C for create a rule. The Rules Wizard will come up, and it will
:have already filled in some of the perammeters for you.
:
:It has filled in the choice to apply this rule after messages arrive. Jaws
:will say something like "Which condition would you like to check. From
:[EMAIL PROTECTED] 1 of 25." This is what you want, so route
:Jaws to PC left arrow twice to the graphic and issue a left mouse click.

*/ Again, completely unnecessary...space bar selects /*

:Now activate your PC cursor and start tabbing. The first thing you will
:encounter is the list of conditions that make up your rule. Here you can
:use the arrow keys to select, and press enter to edit the values. Leave
:them alone, cause they are what you want, and tab to the "<next button" and
:press enter. Now the wizard wants you to choose an action to take. You
:should be on move to folder, but if you aren't, find this with the up and
:down arrows. Route Jaws to PC, left arrow to the graphic, left click,

*/ You are making this entirely too complicated. Once again, space bar
selects. /*

:activate the PC cursor and tab once. Down arrow to the move to folder
:perammeter and press enter. A dialog pops up and you can select the folder
:you created for the list mail, and press enter. Back in the wizard, tab to
:the "<next button" and press enter. Now you will be presented with an
:opportunity to make exceptions to your rule. Hit the next button again to
:skip this step. The wizz will prompt you for a name for your rule, he'll
:even suggest one. Press finish, and check your mail to see if the rule
:works.
:
:I hope I've covered all the steps, if not write me at
:
:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
:
:and I'll take another shot at it.
:
:Best regards
