WELCOME TO ELOQUENCE HELL!

        Please help with this very puzzling problem.  I'd be typing away with
eloquence and all of a sudden, it's like someone flicked a switch and
turned off the soundcard speakers.  In order to reenable my software
synthesiser, I have to restart the computer. simply changing to accent sa
and then changing back to eloquence won't work.  has anybody else ever had
this problem before?
