I am a sighted volunteer instructor teaching Jfw to some blind adults in
Freeport, Bahamas. We have found it useful to print summaries of the
tapes to guide us in our instruction and I have been preparing these
summaries. I have offered to send them to any listers who are interested.
I have had about 20 requests for these tutorials.
Tape 2 side 1 discusses the Jaws cursor vs the PC cursor. I have not
found much use for the Jaws cursor on the first two tapes. It is much
simpler to move around with Windows and regular Jaws screen reading
commands.
However on Tape 3 (Windows Explorer) , in discussing how to copy files to a
floppy disk, we are told to go to the status bar to find out the total size
of selected files to determine if they will fit on the floppy disk. The
tape does not explain how to get to the status bar. This is the first
time I found the JAWS cursor useful.
