Hi Marsha:

Below is the question and answer page for the Earthtuner program. It is in
text format, so you shouldn't have any problem reading it.

Please note: I am not pro or con with regards to this program. I am simply
putting it out there. The creators of the program are interested in working
with us concerning any access problems that we are experiencing with their
program.

      Questions and Answers

What can I see and hear?

EarthTuner includes links to hundreds of great sites and streams to
tune
in. Almost any kind of radio station you can imagine can be found on
the
net. We are working hard to put each one that offers RealAudio in our
database. Several Television stations are starting to broadcast on the
internet as well. We have them. Also, hundreds of websites, dealing
with a
variety of news, talks, and entertainment topics offer Internet Only
programming you can hear and view. For more details on our Station
list,
check out the Station List Page.

I have RealPlayer, why should I try EarthTuner?

RealPlayer is great, and RealNetworks' technology make this all
possible.
However, EarthTuner adds so much more. EarthTuner's station database
allows you to have access to thousands of listening and viewing
choices
you might never find by just surfing. Using EarthTuner's innovative
interface, you can quickly find almost anything you are looking for,
and
tune in almost instantly. To see more of what EarthTuner offers, check
out
      our Features Page.

Does EarthTuner require RealPlayer be installed?

EarthTuner uses the RealPlayer ActiveX control to receive streaming
audio
and video. EarthTuner doesn't launch RealPlayer, as a web browser
does,
but instead has the player imbedded within it's interface. The
EarthTuner
installation program will detect whether or not you have RealPlayer
installed, and automatically install the correct files. If for some
reason
you un-install RealPlayer, it is possible EarthTuner may detect a
problem.
In that case, simply re-install EarthTuner.

      How much does EarthTuner cost?

EarthTuner is distributed as shareware. You can try it for 15 days.
After
that, if you want to keep and use it, you must purchase it. EarthTuner
costs $22.95 US Dollars. There is no montly or yearly fee, simply a
one
time purchase. When you buy, you get unlimited Station Database
updates,
and future versions of EarthTuner are yours free. To see details on
the
variety of ways you can purchase, check out our Purchase Page.

Sometimes I get errors trying to play a station. What do they mean?

Errors when starting or while playing a stream can be caused by a
variety
of problems. Any of the following reasons can cause errors:

        problems with your internet connection

        Network traffic problems

        Servers that may be down

Servers that have reached their capacity

Invalid links on the station website

        Outdated links in our database

While we attempt to keep the station database accurate, the stations
are
on servers around the world, and are changes or problems with these
servers are beyond our control. When you get a RealAudio error, a
dialog
pops up with a short description. If you click the Go There button,
you
will be shown a more details description on the RealNetworks site. For
a
complete listing of realPlayer error codes, visit the Error Page at
      RealNetworks.
After clearing this popup error, EarthTuner will show a dialog with
additional information to explain errors, and tell you if you should
do
something about them. If a link in the EarthTuner database doesn't
work,
but you find a good link on the stations database, please help us keep
up
to date by submitting the correction on our Submit page.

Will EarthTuner work with a proxy if I'm behind a firewall?

EarthTuner does work behind a firewall. To work correctly, RealPlayer
must
be configured correctly. For more information on correctly configuring
RealPlayer for proxies, check out the Proxy Help Page at RealNetworks.

I'm having RealPlayer problem, where can I get help?

      Check out RealNetworks' FAQ.

Why aren't there stations in a particular country?

We continue to add stations every week, in a continual effort to give
you
everything possible. However, we can't do it alone. Every country
doesn't
have a site offering streaming RealMedia, and some that do we haven't
found yet. If you know of a site we should have in EarthTuner, please
      visit our Submit page. Thanks

What is the difference between EarthTuner and DigiBand Radio?

DigiBand, the makers of EarthTuner also have another product called
DigiBand Radio. Both use RealAudio and both will tune in stations
around
the world. We invite everyone to try both and pick which one is best.
DigiBand Radio is better for more advanced users who know how to grab
RealAudio links and really like DigiBand Radio's 100 presets and scan
features. EarthTuner is more popular with a larger group of people
because
it is easy to use, and has several neat features, including the
animated
      globe and searching.

We are just getting started, so this FAQ will continue to grow as long
as
people ask questions. To ask yours, visit our Support Page.
