Hi listers,

I just created a simple batch file to exit a DOS box and return to the WIN95
desktop. I had previously checked the "use DOS screen reader in a DOS box"
advanced option in the default configuration. I thought I needed to remove
both JFD and the DOS driver for the DECtalk Express from memory in the
process. I therefore included the following as the final lines of this
batch file:

c:\jaws\j_unload
c:\dtexp\dt_driv -r
exit

The batch file seemed to work fine, but suddenly my DECtalk Express began to
produce choppy speech, and even stopped speaking for several seconds at a
time. Any thoughts on what happened? What can I do to get things right
again?

I am running WIN95 on a 200 MHz machine with 64 Mb of RAM. The DEC Express
is running 4.2C/D.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

Alan
