I had a problem with my software synthesizer just going dead. I was not
getting any sounds at all. I checked my control pannel land could not see
the problem. However, to get to the point, I simply missed the setting
that was causing the trouble. I found it out by putting a CD in the CD ROM
and my CD player showed one of my volume controls set to zero. When I
reset it, everything was fine again. BTW: the problem seemed to be caused
by the MS NetMeeting program resetting my control pannel settings without
my realizing it.
