Thanks to the many who had suggestions for handling tool tips. You had some great ideas. Now I'm still wondering about re-classing those controls. I may have spoken imprecisely last time, so let's try this again. JFW has this ability to re-class a control with an odd name so that it'll get treated similarly to another much more common control. I'm wondering why this re-classing seems to work differently in a configuration file for an individual program than it does for the global file. I thought I could do the re-classing in the global configuration file and then have it take hold for any program I executed that happened to have one of these weird controls in it. Instead, I couldn't discern any change in behavior when I edited the default file. Am I misinterpreting the use of the default file? Thanks.
