I have pointed this out before and found it to be one of the reasons why
Internet explorer crashes with jaws. When someone presses insert and
releases that button to press the f5 key, it causes the infamous screeching
from the sound card and the enevidable crash. Its an imperfection with the
insert key mode which can be set within the configuration manager.
Originally this feature was intended for those who had difficulty pressing
three keys at the same time and for laptop users who had the insert key in
an unusual position in their keyboard. This is something that should be
fixes. Scenarios like the one you described can be messy on documents that
one is typing or editing. It can definitely be frustrating...
the best thing to do is just point it out to HJ's technical team. You can
