Fred,

I followed it at the time and found it most useful. It gave me a lot more confidence when loading WEB pages and meant I didn't try to use JAWS before a page was loaded.

In a nutshell:
Go to Settings, Control Pannel, Sounds. Follow the Tree View to Windows Explorer. Note that although you are using Internet Explorer, you are following the thread for Windows Explorer at this point. There you will (hopefully) see that sounds can be assigned for
Complete Navigation;
Empty Recycle Bin;
Move Menu Item; and
Start Navigation.

I have set Complete Navigation to use DING.WAV which suits me fine. I didn't set a Start Navigation sound.

Hope this helps.

If you need more on this, I suggest you write me off list.

THERE WAS A THREAD MONTHS AGO ABOUT HOW TO SET UP I.E. 4.01, USING JFW, SO THAT YOU COULD HAVE A SOUND WHEN I.E. CONTACTED THE TARGET WEBSITE OR LINK. DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS? I LOOKED IN I.E. 4.01 AND ALSO IN SOUNDS IN CONTROL PANEL BUT COULD NOT FIND ANY SUSPECTS.
THANKS,
FRED
