My apologies for confusing everybody. First of all, it should be reset frequency, not refresh rate. You can get to this parameter by hitting insert-6, followed by CTRL-SHIFT-D, followed by ALT-S and then up arrowing to "Synthesizer Options". There you can tab over to the reset frequency, which by default is 2000. Change this to 0, and the DoubleTalk will be a much more stable synth.
