Recently, someone inquired about reading column titles via the alt+1 through alt+4 key strokes. These will read the top four cells of the column your cursor is in. So you can be clear down at cell h99 or whatever, and alt+f1 will read h1. So, as long as your titles are somewhere in the first four rows, you are fine. The good news is that all of that is done via scripts and so could be changed pretty easily. I had a sheet lately that had column titles clear down on row 26, and a bunch of general text in the upper rows. I took the easy way out, and modified the sheet to reproduce the column headers on row one. I didn't know of any other way since the headings can move from one sheet to the next. It wasn't the best solution, but at least I am getting my work done. Jim Snowbarger - Visit the jfw ml web page: http://yoyo.cc.monash.edu.au/~nallan/jfw
