Besides writing HJ about the issue
of labelling, why stop there? Why not ask HJ what it is doing to bring us
"Active Accessability" in the next version of JAWS so that we might be
able to read information in columns in IE 4.01 with greater ease. There were
references to the next JAWS versions yesterday. If the next version of
JAWS is near completion, then why not ask about Active Accessability. Other
programs are beginning to make claims that their software reads information in
columns well and easily in IE 4.01. If Active Accessability alllows for that,
then we should be within our rights to raise that issue also. I have spoken with
an individual who has total ease in reading complex web sites in IE 4.01. I do
not doubt the versatility of JAWS. But I believe that ultimately a company will
respond to consumer demand of the market it serves--especially if hears
the "steps" of competition coming closer. Why not raise issues
now before the next version arrives and we have to wait for still another and
another? Even Microsoft did respond to certain consumer issue. I say we have
