no, I do not have norton utility, virus scanners or any system
checker installed.
the problem seems to arise when it gets up to about the 1000000th
cluster. I'll get an error that says scandisk has restarted 10 times
and did I want to continue receiving this warning I click yes, and
the scandisk program actually continues from where it left off. So
as I was saying, the restarts don't happen that often but when they
do they're very annoying.
I deleted the c:\windows\recent directory because I was told it might
have something to do with it.
I'll run scandisk tonnight and let ye all know what happens.
