Hi, I want to thank all the members who have taken the time to write me regarding my putting together a new system. I got a lot more information now than when I started. However, there is still some issues that are not clear. Issues like the new AGP graphics that come on new computers. Issues like video compatibility in general. Does anybody got suggestions as to what's best in video land and jfw? I brought this to HJ, and this was their response. Once again, info is greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, you have what we have in that area. If you want a sure thing on video, you would need to purchase the video card separate from the machine. The most compattable card now is the Matrox Milinium G200. None of the computer manufaturers install that card as original equipment. There are other currently produced cardswith which JFW works, but it can be a hit an miss situation. The 16 meg video cards seem to cause more trouble than the 8 meg cards. We are told that an updated list will be posted to the web sight soon, so if you can, stay tuned. Thanks >>I'm looking to buy a new computer system.
