Jamal i agree your idea is the ultimate solution, even liked your other idea
about screen reader standards with respect to graphics.
now if microsoft was serious about helping the blind they could supply funding
to do this kind of research and the results shared by all screen readers.
down the road i think more graphics will be labelled thanks to new standards
for meta tags, though that is not a total answer to the problem.
software companies deserve some of the blame, and that question of access
where does the software developer responsibility stop and the screen access
tool take over.
