lost subject line

        Hi Listers,

I usually use "ctrl-f4" to close a file/email message.  Some how I pressed
the wrong key with "f4" once and now "JFW" won't say the subject line in
messages.  All I heare are the names.  There fore I need toopen the message
to read the subject.  

How can I correct this problem. ?  

I think my finger sliped off the ctrl key and bumped the shift or something
else. when holding down the "f4."
