On the subject of defrag, I've set up the Win 98 disk maintenance to
run defrag and scandisk on a weekly schedule. I've not had any
trouble with either of these utilities.
BTW, you can also set up the disk maintenance schedule to regularly
delete your temporary files such as the Temporary Internet Files and
Recycle Bin.
